🅟🅘🅝🅞🅨 🅚🅐🅚🅐🅝🅘🅝
𝑷𝒊𝒏𝒐𝒚 𝒌𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒏 𝑜𝑟 𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒔 are popular snack foods that are usually serve as desserts. Kakanin are usually prepared whenever there is a special occasion like fiesta, birthday, christmas, anniversary, etc. Pinoy kakanin is famous in the Philippines because these delicacies remind us of simpler times.
𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐚 is delicious and also good to our health. There are many benefits of cassava. It is rich in vitamin C , good for resistant starch, it serve as energy fuel, protection against liver cancer, low in sugar and repairs to a kidney damage.
There are many recipe you can make with cassava such as : Mogo(fried cassava), jelly pichi-pichi, carioca, leche flan, cassava balls, cassava roll, pichi-pichi, sinalab, nilupak, etc.
𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 :
1. 𝕄𝕠𝕘𝕠 ( 𝚏𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚍 𝚌𝚊𝚜𝚜𝚊𝚟𝚊 )
*Cassava. *Sunflower oil (or any available oil) *Chili and lemon seasoning
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬
1. Boil the cassava until you can put a knife through it. 2. Drain, then fry in sunflower oil until golden and crispy. 3. Sprinkle it in chili and lemon seasoning as soon as possible.
2. 𝕁𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕪 𝕡𝕚𝕔𝕙𝕚-𝕡𝕚𝕔𝕙𝕚
*Grated cassava *Sugar *Salt *Vanilla powder *Agar agar powder *Coconut milk *Oil *Steamed shredded coconut
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬
1. Blend the grated cassava 2. Add the sugar, small amount of salt, vanilla powder, agar agar powder and coconut milk then mix it well. 3. Divided it depend on how many color and flavor you want, then add the food coloring or flavor in a separate bowl and mix it well. 4. Put it into the molds but before that put a small amount of oil first. 5. Steam it. 6. When it cooked, remove it from the mold then put it into the plate and add the steamed shredded coconut.
3. ℂ𝕒𝕣𝕚𝕠𝕔𝕒
*Grated cassava *Sugar *oil
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬
1. Put the grated cassava and sugar into the bowl, then mix it well. 2. Circle it. 3. Fry it until it cooked and turn brown.
4. 𝕃𝕖𝕔𝕙𝕖 𝕗𝕝𝕒𝕟 (𝑐𝑎𝑠𝑠𝑎𝑣𝑎)
*Grated cassava *Evaporated milk *Condensed milk *Melted butter *Vanilla extract *Sugar *Cheese
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬
1. In a mixing bowl mix the grated cassava, Condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla extract and melted butter. 2. Caramelize the sugar, when the color turns golden take it out from the heat. 3. Pour the cassava mixture. 4. Cover it with foil before steaming. 5. Steam it for 45 minutes in a low medium heat. 6. When it cooked, take it out from heat then discard the foils. Let it cool down for 20 minutes. 7. Unmold it and put it into a plate then add grated cheese for toppings.
5. ℂ𝕒𝕤𝕤𝕒𝕧𝕒 𝕓𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕤
*Grated cassava *Cassava flour *Sugar *Food colorings *Grated coconut
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬
1. Put the grated cassava, cassava flour and sugar into the bowl, then mix it well. 2. Divided it depend on how many color you want. 3. In a separate bowl add the food coloring and mix it well. 4. Steam it. 5. When it cooked, sprinkle it in a fresh grated coconut.
6. ℂ𝕒𝕤𝕤𝕒𝕧𝕒 𝕣𝕠𝕝𝕝

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬
1. Put the grated cassava and sugar into the bowl then mix it well. 2. Divided it depend on how many color you want. 3. On a separate bowl add the food coloring then mix it well. 4. Put one scope or any amount you want into the banana leaves then flat it. 5. Cooked it into the pot with low medium heat. 6. When it cooked, roll it and put the grated coconut.
7. ℙ𝕚𝕔𝕙𝕚-𝕡𝕚𝕔𝕙𝕚
*Grated cassava *Sugar *Food coloring *Coconut milk *Grated coconut
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬
1. Put the grated cassava and sugar into the bowl then mix it well. 2. Divided it depend on how many color you want. 3. On a separate bowl, add the food coloring and mix it well. 4. Pour the cassava mixture into the molds then steam it. 5. When it cooked, remove it from the molds then put it into a plate. 6. Add the grated coconut if you want.
8. 𝕊𝕚𝕟𝕒𝕝𝕒𝕓
*Grated cassava *Brown sugar *Melted margarine *Shredded young coconut
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬
1. Put the grated cassava, brown sugar and melted margarine into the bowl then mix it well. 2. Put one scope cassava mixture into the banana leaves and flat it. Also, cover it with banana leaves. 3. Put small amount of oil to the pot then and cook it. 4. If the bottom is cooked, flip it. 5. When it cooked, put the shredded young coconut then roll it.
9. ℕ𝕚𝕝𝕦𝕡𝕒𝕜
*Fresh cassava. *Melted margarine. *Condensed milk *Sugar *Cheese *Chopped peanut
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬
1. Boil the cassava until it cooked. 2. Smash it into the bowl then add the melted margarine, condensed milk and sugar and mix it well. 3. Put the cassava mixture into the shallow bowl then flat it. 4. Add the grated cheese and chopped peanuts as toppings.
